In the sexual and gender politics of the 21st Century, a new light has been shed on what the word “consent” actually means, especially in terms of courtship, flirtation, and sex. Here are some notes on the topic, collected from various sources in my life and the internets:
- Consent is key – this is a safe space where we encourage human connection, touch and authenticity,
- but: always ask for consent and
if it’s okay to touch someone
(massage, or share some energy and space with them). - It’s okay to say no.
- You can always say yes to someone and no after.
- If it’s not an enthusiastic yes, it’s a no.
